Position Responsibilities:
The School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutics invites you to apply for our Hourly Research Assistant position! The successful candidate will be responsible for characterizing and testing pharmaceutical aerosol powders. Powders will be characterized using techniques such as laser diffraction, bubble pressure tensiometry, DSC, TGA, vapor moisture sorption and cascade impaction. Familiarity with analytical methods such as HPLC would be desirable. Additionally, the incumbent will assist in production of spray dried pharmaceutical powders.

Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment and commitment to do so as a professional employee at VCU.
- BS/MS degree in Biology, Chemistry, or equivalent field of study.
- Some laboratory work experience with general lab skills which includes but is not limited to standard preparation and dilutions, powder particle sizing, solid state characterization methods and HPLC.
