The Inventory Control Associate will ensure accurate system and physical inventory balances to maintain the ongoing integrity of the company’s inventory data.

Responsibilities:

• Verify the accuracy of receipts and transfers by conducting audits of product inventory on a scheduled basis; provide internal stakeholders with inventory-related data as necessary
• Produce reports regarding on-hand inventory balances, sales/cancellations by brand and other metrics to drive management decisions
• Oversee the physical inventory scheduling, execution and reconciliation processes
• Provide support with gathering and summarizing inventory-related data during third-party audits
• Process transfers and shrink adjustments in the internal warehouse system; reconcile physical inventory on-hand on a regular basis to ensure accuracy in reported figures, analyzing the results to identify opportunities for shrink reduction
• Communicate regularly with Logistics, Warehouse, and stores to monitor inventory movements, ensuring that all stores are following proper guidelines for receiving and accounting for inventory.
• Identify any inventory discrepancies from the physical inventory data, investigate all potential causes, and recommend corrective measures
• Work with Store Operations and Loss Prevention to implement shortage control programs to reduce shrinkage
• Conduct periodic audits of lost/aging/transfer cartons by running inventory reports and observing store sales history
• Reconcile inventory data on a periodic basis to determine the transit status of carton; identify discrepancies in inventory data/reports, recommending solutions to resolve the issues
• May lead, guide, and train staff/student employees, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work
• Create/maintain Standard Operating Procedures for assigned tasks
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree in an analytical subject is a plus
• Minimum 1 year of related experience in retail, warehousing, logistics, or similar required.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have strong organizational and analytical skills
• Must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, specifically V-lookup and pivot tables
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

ADDITIONAL DATA

The salary range for this position is $20.28 - $22.37 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to position offered and work experience.In addition to your salary, Forever 21, and its affiliated brands, offers a benefits package, including 401(k) plan, overtime pay, flexible work schedule and a generous employee discount program (all benefits are based on eligibility).
