Description:
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Post all payments from insurance carriers and patients in an accurate and timely manner
- Balance daily work between practice management system and bank report
- Work with multiple software systems and websites
Education: High school diploma.
Experience:
At least 3 - 5 years of experience in processing cash and insurance payment transactions in a medical setting or a relevant financial background or any combination of the two, preferred
Other Requirements:
- Firm understanding of insurance payment processes and how to read an Explanation of Benefits (EOB), preferred
- Ability to process a large amount of transactions with a high degree of accuracy, preferred
- Proficient in working with figures and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to work flexible hours to meet deadlines
