Aloha Cut + Cloth is seeking individuals to join our Production Team. The right candidate has experience in sewing and will have excellent attention to detail, can follow detailed instructions with limited supervision and has excellent time management skills. Production Team members construct garments and other soft goods according to clients’ specifications and needs from start to finish.
The duties of this role include, but is not limited to:
- Constructs garments and other soft goods according to clients’ specifications and preferences.
- Uses sewing instructions provided by customers to trace patterns, cut fabric and sew fabric to complete finished products.
- Sews buttons, zippers, pockets, linings and padding when necessary.
- Communicates with the co-founders to understand clients’ needs and preferences, and to ensure product delivery deadlines are met.
- Uses irons and pressing machines to erase the creases on garments and other articles.
- Organizes and labels completed goods for customer pick up.
- Physical requirements: Role involves standing or sitting for extended periods of time while using equipment
We are accepting applications for those who are interested in working either in person or remote. This role requires use of own equipment if working as a remote contractor.
Aloha Cut + Cloth also has a non-profit organization, Aloha Cut + Cloth Foundation, which has a training program that teaches sewing skills. The Foundation provides training to help educate and empower women, who can utilize these skills to expand their future career opportunities. The Production Team has the opportunity to take courses provided in our training program to further their sewing skills.
