Seeking a 1:1 Aide
Seeking an individual to work alongside an educational team to support a 5th grade student with a diagnosis of Down syndrome be fully included at his private school.
Hours needed: Monday- Friday 7:45am-12:45pm
Where: Private school in Pasadena.
Pay Range: $25-30/hour depending on experience
Skill/Experience: Opportunities for training will be provided.
School requires finger printing and TB test
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
*Work collaboratively with staff and team to achieve student’s educational goals.
*Follow through with educational objectives including math, reading and independent skills.
*Facilitate teacher directed learning activities including lesson plans and assisting student on various IPAD apps and Chromebook .
*Accompany student during recess and lunch periods and help/support student facilitate opportunities for relationships with other students.
*Must be able to assist/implement behavior management strategies.
*Need good communication skills and be able to work with a team of educators as well as be comfortable in communicating with all students to ensure successful inclusion.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
