Here's what you bring: You are a conscientious environmental professional who serves as the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Oversight Manager for the 33-mile Construction Package 1 of the California High-Speed Rail Project in Fresno and Madera Counties. This is an excellent role where you will oversee all SWPPP and BMP compliance with the requirements of the final environmental documents.
You will ensure water quality compliance with the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program, evaluate the effectiveness of water quality Environmental Management Systems, and develop reports to demonstrate compliance with the final permit mitigation measures. As a result, you will successfully assist in reducing the potential of sediment discharge and hazardous substances per the SWPPP, General Construction Permit, 401 Water Quality Certification, and Army Corps of Engineers 404 permit. With your expertise, you will provide recommendations for BMP improvements in environmentally sensitive areas. Additionally, you will enjoy successful working relationships with the various state, federal, and municipal regulatory agencies. An understanding of Phase 1 and 2 environmental site assessments will be beneficial for success in your candidacy.
Requirements:
3 years of experience;
A QSP, QSD, or QISP certification;
Broad knowledge of HazWaste regulation;
Experience working on a construction site; and
A degree in engineering, geology, biology, environmental science, or other technical discipline.
