Job Description


As Architectural Designer, you are responsible in supporting the design & development our new store concept design, new store formats and customer experiences in line with the overall COS Brand ID.

The role ensures the execution of interior solutions for both our new stores and existing portfolio concepts to meet customer and brand expectations.

You will:

  • Collaborate with all functions in the interior team, contribute to an efficient information workflow and work towards the set long- and short-term goals of the brand.
  • Collaborate as a team on executions of all COS projects, working closely with Senior Architectural Designers and all relevant stakeholders on individual projects.
  • Support other competences and functions to develop and realize design solutions, principles and concept to reach results in line with COS Brand ID and quality expectations.
  • Feedback and secure implementation of the creative direction to the central team throughout expansion and project phases.
  • Collaborate and support the wider Growth team in tasks relating to interior development, facilities & maintenance upkeep and future business innovation within design.
  • Developing store interiors from concept to completion and follow up on creative deliveries, when necessary, in a constructive and inspiring way.
  • Responsible to develop and connect our new store concept design, new store formats and experiences in line with the overall COS Brand ID.
  • Ensure the high-quality execution of all existing store concepts in projects.
  • Design and develop creative concepts, the COS interior concept, bespoke brand interiors and brand projects.
  • Create, compile and visualize design development according to needs and briefs in mood boards, sketches, 3D renderings, models and presentations.
  • Keep a full overview of the execution of store concepts or projects from the start to end.
  • Perceive, use and develop the character and potential of a store in a commercial and efficient manner in line with brand ID.
  • Proficiency in designing in plan, section and elevation whilst comfortable developing designs through 3D modelling software in tandem.
  • Develop/draw related construction details and design the interior of new stores.
  • Manage and coordinate efficient processes within multiple COS projects and various business units.
  • Develop & improve on internal building handbooks, ways of working and guidelines.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience working as an architect, with retail experience preferred
  • Working experience with AutoCAD, Rhinocerous 3D, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Office 365 (Word, Excel & PowerPoint), preferably experience with Revit.
  • Keeps up to date in architectural design, trends, competitors, materials and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enjoys working in an international environment.
  • Proactive approach to work tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong organisational skills to be able to coordinate multiple projects at one time.
  • Enjoys the challenge of coming up with new creative, site specific solutions.
