Banquet Server/Runner

Reports to: Banquet Manager and Culinary Director
FLSA Status: Hourly
Summary: The duties and responsibilities of a Banquet Server are generally to provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire event process to ensure the highest standard of customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of the banquet area.
- Prepare bread baskets, butter, water glasses, and creamers for service.
- Bring food out and serve guests in a organized and timely fashion.
- Remove used plates, glasses, cutlery and napkins from tables after each course.
- Wipe up water spills, food stains and dirt from tables.
- Straighten out the tablecloth or replacing stained ones as needed.
- Replace cutlery, plates, and glassware in anticipation of next course or event.
- Refill bread baskets, butter, salt and pepper shakers, sugar, creamer and other condiments on the tables throughout event.
- Pour and refill beverages on the tables as needed.
- Handle cleaning of the dining area and server stations at the close of day.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices.
- Anticipate guests’ needs and exceed customer service expectations.
- Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Relay important information about orders, allergies and special requests to the appropriate person.
- Respond urgently and appropriately to any concerns.
- Polish silverware and stemware and fold napkins as needed.
- Present in professional appearance, attire, and mannerisms.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
