QUALIFICATIONS:
- Provide documented evidence of a clear criminal record
- Excellent work ethic, including confidentiality in regards to records of students and personnel
- Experience in general office responsibilities and procedures preferred
- General clerical skills
- Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management and organization
- Demonstrates basic technology competencies (e.g. keyboarding, email, Internet, Windows operating system, applications, productivity, graphic, and multimedia software, website design)
- Knowledge of operating standard office equipment including utilizing pertinent software applications and office technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
- Demonstrate appropriate grammar, punctuation and positive public relations skills in verbal and written communications
- Ability to plan and manage projects
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot situations
- Good attendance and punctuality
- Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records with attention to detail
- Ability to demonstrate accounting/bookkeeping principles

Performance Responsibilities: The following skills and duties are representative of performance expectations.
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff, student, and school district information, including student accident reports.
- Schedule and conduct BCI & FBI background checks.
- File and retrieve organizational documents, records and reports.
- Maintain Security budget documentation and details.
- May conduct research, compile data and prepare papers for consideration and presentation to the Administrators, staff and Board of Education.
- Update District documents on a regular basis.
- Maintain and oversee facilities usage in the district.
- Prepare agendas and make arrangements for committees, Board or other meetings.
- Prepare the District Newsletter on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and publish emergency operations updates on a continuing basis
- Prepare and update specific website information
- Ability to make decisions without close supervision
- Must be accurate, efficient and capable of handling detailed work assignments.
- Excellent public relations skills including courteousness, tact and good verbal and written communications.
- Good attendance and high moral character.
- Ability to maintain self-control and complete tasks with frequent interruptions.
- Proven ability to work independently and be self-motivated, as well as work cooperatively with other office personnel.
- Maintain a regular filing system including confidential files.
- Ability to effectively establish, monitor, and maintain calendar(s) of activities, events, appointments, conferences and meetings for individual needs and for immediate supervisor.
- Ability to manage incoming correspondence efficiently, sort, route, and, in the case of routine matters, promptly respond.
- Ability to provide timely and effective communications regarding incidents and/or situations which might impact the district, its departments or its schools to the appropriate district office/school personnel.
- Active and consistent efforts to maintain or improve the positive image of the district and its schools.
- Ability to assist employees, parents and community members with complaints and requests for information, referring calls to other staff members when appropriate.
