Summary: To be responsible for maintaining all common areas to stay in a clean and attractive condition. Make-Ready apartments upon turnover and as otherwise noted in this job description or as defined by the Business Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Cleaning the Leasing Center, Recreation Building, pool area, exercise facility, restrooms, and jacuzzi area. Including trash removal, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning of exterior and interior windows, entryways, and stairwells, removing leaves, debris, and cobwebs from corners and recesses of each building. Cleaning laundry rooms, including trash removal, sweeping, mopping, wiping down machines and other surfaces, and interiors and exteriors of windows. Patrol of grounds each morning for removal of litter.

Sweeping and/or blowing off all sidewalks and parking areas, including dumpster areas—moving garbage bins to garbage pickup area on designated days. Exterior painting, exterior repair, pool, and spa maintenance. Interior apartment cleaning and interior apartment painting to turn units for new move-ins. Maintain cleanliness of community to LPR standards.

Successfully participate in the safety training program. Ability to work with persons of all ethnic and religious backgrounds and understand resident problems. Means of reliable transportation to and from work by the weekly schedule. Must be reliable and bondable.

Education/Experience: General cleaning knowledge.

Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, specification sheets, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
