Mail/Sample Clerk Summary Description:

The Mail/Sample Clerk (Clerk) will be responsible for all mail room and sample receiving activities at the building. The clerk will assist the client by receiving, logging, and delivering all packages/samples that come through the mail room and reception. The Clerk will also assist in other ad hoc duties as assigned and will work closely with the client’s management to ensure daily alignment of duties to ensure appropriate support. Requirements of this position also include timely response to work orders, strong customer service skills, integrity, and punctuality.

Shift Days: Monday – Friday

Shift Hours: Noon-5:00pm

Daily Responsibilities:

Check work order system frequently for any newly assigned work orders and attend the daily work order review meeting. These assigned tasks will be in addition to daily task which include:

  • Mail and sample receiving: Using established log, track carrier, recipient, sender, and tracking number
  • Sort and keep all incoming packages, samples, and mail well organized.
  • Keep overall mail room and sample receiving area tidy and free from trash and debris.
  • Check USPS mailbox daily and sort and deliver mail accordingly.
  • Mail and sample delivery: After receiving, distribute packages and samples accordingly. Work with Client’s management to understand appropriate distribution, which may change frequently. * Log and track where and to whom packages and samples are delivered.
  • Deliver all packages, samples, and mail within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Shipping: Assist client staff with shipping and other mail services.
  • Assist in preparing and sending inter-office mail.
  • General Mailroom: Establish supply inventory and supply reordering. * Keep mailroom well stocked with supplies.
  • Maintain order and cleanliness of the mailroom.
  • Other duties as assigned: Assist client staff in other ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
