As a Vehicle Acquisition Representative, you’re one of the most important team members at Norm Reeves Honda Irvine. You would manage a list of desired vehicles that the dealership wants to purchase. They use various databases as well as dealership visitors as your source for locating and buying these vehicles. The Vehicle Acquisition Representative will utilize all available prospecting resources to identify and engage private parties looking to sell their vehicle. Resources include third party websites, third party lead sources, the service drive, and other means.
What You’ll Do:
- Contact vehicle owners and attempt to purchase their vehicles
- Maintain customer database and communicating with them
- Greet and offer assistance to customers with desired vehicles
- Follow up on leads from Kelly Blue Book
- Review vehicle condition reports
- Determine wholesale and retail prices
- Inspect and accept vehicles arriving onsite
- Create and execute reconditioning plan to prepare the vehicle for sale
- Use sound judgment, research, and excellent interpersonal skills to make offers on vehicles
- Turn prospective buyers to a salesperson
- Work with management to identify current inventory needs
- Additional duties as assigned my management
What You’ll Need:
- A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient with CRM, and Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Strong communication and negotiating skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to function well in a high-paced environment
- Willingness to work independently and as part of a team
- Prolonged periods of phone calls
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
