As our Business Development Representative, you will support our Marketing, Product & Sales team with lead generation and qualification tasks. You will develop a prospecting strategy and implement it to identify prospects and initiate first outreach with potential customers, including collaborating with internal stakeholders to continually improve and optimize our full-funnel marketing and sales efforts.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience forming and sustaining relationships with prospects
  • A consultative sales approach, strong negotiation skills, and excellent follow-through
  • The ability to communicate effectively with clients and prospects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong entrepreneurial mindset, with an appetite to learn and grow

Bonus points if you’re bringing knowledge of or really want to learn the following:

  • Inside sales experience for enterprise software solutions
  • Salesloft
  • Salesforce
  • SharePoint
  • Enterprise content management (ECM) industry experience

We do not want you to make the leap without knowing what we need, so here is how we define success for this position:

  • Handle lead call-downs before passing substantiated leads to account executives
  • Document all lead qualification metrics and handle lead call-downs before passing substantiated leads to Account Executives
  • Engage in outbound prospecting to build sales pipeline
  • Review all prospect/customer accounts and analyze their status and current supplier relationships
  • Participate in coordinating prospects to attend promotional events /trade shows, and track/record actual attendance for post-event outreach and follow-up
  • Develop and implement a prospecting strategy to ensure optimum outreach and sales management
  • Continue attracting new opportunities and manage the initial progress through sales stages, while developing new proactive ways to get prospects and generate sales leads
  • Document all sales activity in our CRM daily
  • Analyze the enterprise content management market competitors, their offerings, and their strategies in order to identify top opportunities for sales within the market
  • Provide feedback as appropriate with broader Marketing & Sales teams to inform and improve current and future leads qualification tactics and processes
