We are looking for a Part Time Kennel Worker for our busy boarding kennel. You must LOVE dogs and cats and be able to handle all sizes and breeds. We are dedicated to providing excellent care for all of our boarders and hold ourselves to a high standard. We care for all sizes of dogs from 4 pounds all the way up to 200 pounds. We take all of our boarding dogs out in to the play yards on a daily basis so the physical ability to handle them is a must. Weekend and holiday work is required. Requirements:
- Passion for animals
- California Driver's License and vehicle
- An energetic person with a great work ethic and ambition
- Outgoing, patient, confident and customer friendly
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently
- Stooping, bending, reaching all done daily
- Basic knowledge of dogs and cats
- Ability to handle very large and very small dogs
- WEEKEND WORK
- Work well with others
- Understanding of written instructions for feeding and medicating
- Self-motivated
Duties:
- Cleaning kennels
- Feeding & watering
- Cleaning up after the dogs in the yards
- Taking dogs out to play
- Hosing out outside stalls
- Cleaning around the entire facility
- Managing play groups
- Following set procedures and guideline both written and verbal
- Work as a team and follow the directions of your supervisors
