Job Summary
Reporting to the Production Manager, you as the Video Editor are responsible for editing all requested video footage and audio clips into an engaging and entertaining format. You will work closely with the Production team and Producers from inception and notes passes, through execution. You’ll work from our West Hollywood, California production and studio office Monday through Friday as part of a collaborative team. Ideal candidates will have experience cutting multi-cam talk show or podcast-style content, along with the ability to work with motion graphics, perform basic color correction, perform basic sound mixing, and navigate some After Effects.
NOTE: This role is on-site, 4 days a week at our West Hollywood studio/office, with 1 day ability to work from your home office.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assures that all versions of edits arrive to the Producer in a timely fashion so notes can be addressed
- Work with Production to establish look and feel of created content
- Responsible for ensuring content quality adheres to company brand standards
- Able to edit quickly and efficiently
- Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of video’s creation
- Ensure project and videos follow a logical sequence
- Ability to manipulate film and video footage utilizing modern editing techniques
Required Skills/Abilities
- 2+ years video editing experience in Final Cut or Davinci Resolve
- Proficiency with different file types (JPG, PNG, MOV, MP4, etc.)
- Excellent proficiency with video codecs and encoding.
- Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, DaVinci, Final Cut Pro, etc.
- Basic color-correcting knowledge
- Basic sound mixing abilities
- Ability to work with motion graphics

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods in a stationary position at a desk, working on a computer, being on the cell phone, etc. in an office environment;
- Position requires continual mental concentration and specific attention to detail;
- Position requires regular movement inside the office on multiple floors, on-set, handling and operating objects, and effective communication/exchange of information.
The compensation for this role is $65,000/per year salary. This is an Exempt position. We provide health/dental/vision/life insurance offerings and 401k.
